Hi! I’m Kylie, and I’m excited to serve as PTO President this year.
My husband and I have called Mt. Juliet home for 12 years. We have two kids at MJE, Stevie, who will be in 4th grade, and Archie, who will be in 2nd grade.
I’ve been volunteering with the PTO since 2022 and have loved getting to know so many incredible parents, teachers, and staff along the way. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help support our school and continue building the strong community that makes MJE such a special place for our kids.
Outside of PTO, I work at the Mt. Juliet Help Center, where I love connecting with our community and supporting local families. In my free time, you’ll usually find me with a book in my hand or playing volleyball. I can’t wait to meet you, and I’d love to hear what you’re reading Looking forward to a great year!
My name is Krista and I’m excited to serve my first year on the PTO board. My family and I have lived in the Mt. Juliet area for 14 years, moving from Milwaukee, WI. I work at the Vanderbilt University Brain Institute and am a science nerd at heart. I have two daughters: Madilyn, who will be in the eighth grade, and Everly, who will be in fifth grade this year. My girls love playing volleyball and basketball, so that is where you will usually find me. My family and I like to go to Nashville Soccer games, experience new activities, and travel as much as possible. I love all things fall and winter, especially snow! I’ve been volunteering with the PTO since my older daughter Madilyn was in kindergarten. I’m looking forward to planning events this school year to facilitate a fun, connected school community.
Hi everyone, my name is Katie and I am so excited to be a member of the PTO board after volunteering with the organization the last three years. I am married with two daughters, Tessa a fourth grader at MJE and Elise a three year old future MJE bear. Our family relocated to Mt. Juliet in 2021 and could not be happier with our decision to call this wonderful community home.
I am especially excited to take on this role heading teacher events because prior to becoming a full time mom I was an elementary school teacher that was blessed with a wonderful PTO that always took care of the teachers at my school. I plan on utilizing my experience as a former teacher to ensure our teachers get the support they need to make our school thrive!
Outside of MJE I volunteer as my daughters girl scout troop leader and enjoy making as many wonderful memories with my family as possible. We love to spend time on the lake, being together as a family traveling, and supporting our daughters who are competitive baton twirlers which takes us all over the country. I look forward to working with the entire MJE family to continue to make this school one of the best in the area.
My name is Jocelyn, and I excited to contribute as a PTO board member this year. I am married and have two children; Harper will be in third grade this year, and Reese is four. I work as an accountant. My husband and I are native to Nashville and have lived in Mt. Juliet for four years. We spend our spare time doing gymnastics and being outside. I loved volunteering where I could last year and am so excited about being able to dedicate more time this year to the PTO to support MJE. I am so thankful for the community that we have at MJE and all of the hard work that goes into each event.
Hi, I'm Michael, and I'll be serving on your PTO board this year. I'm incredibly excited as my kiddo is entering first grade. I've always been heavily involved in his schooling. I've previously served as the PTA President for 3 years at Mt. Juliet Montessori Academy where he went before enrolling at MJE for Kindergarten.
I'm married to my wonderful wife, Cassie, and Oliver is our only kiddo. We do have a standard poodle named Grover who behaves very much like a human and doesn't know just how big he is.
Professionally, I've been in cyber security for 13 years now and will bring that expertise to bear to help keep our kids safe online - it's a passion of mine, and I've devoted my career to helping school districts across TN and the country have a more mature cyber security posture while helping them save money. So as a parent, if you have questions around keeping your kids safe on devices while at home feel free to ask!
My undergraduate degree is in Accounting and Finance, and I have a lot of experience with non-profits and keeping their finances in check. That's what I asked to serve as Treasurer Elect.
I hope to see you all out in our community. Don't hesitate to say hi and introduce yourself!
Hi, I'm Jessica! My husband, Eric, and I are proud to call Middle Tennessee home. We have two children: Quinn, who is in fourth grade at MJE, and Walt, who is in eighth grade. As a family, we love spending time outdoors and enjoy camping whenever we get the chance. I work as a Child Life Specialist at the children's hospital, where I have the privilege of supporting children and their families through some of life's most challenging moments.
One of my greatest passions is strengthening the connection between families and our school while continuing to support our incredible teachers and staff in meaningful ways. I believe that when parents, educators, and the community work together, our students thrive.
Over the years, I've been honored to serve MJE in a variety of PTO roles, including grade-level representative, classroom volunteer, board secretary, and most recently, PTO president. Being an active part of the MJE community is truly a privilege. I'm grateful for the welcoming, supportive village that makes MJE such a special place for our children and families.
