Mission Statement

Mt. Juliet Elementary PTO exists as the connection between Mount Juliet Elementary School and its families. We create and sustain relationships between our parents and students through a welcoming and inclusive environment. We facilitate fun and engaging events, coordinate volunteers, support and enrich our curriculum and educational goals. We are advocates for our students and help create a safe and healthy learning environment.

What is the PTO and who can be a Member?

PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization, consisting of parents and teachers working together to support and enrich all students. We support school staff, help promote student self-esteem, and assist in efforts to solve school needs through volunteering and funding. The PTO is made up of several officers, committees, school staff and volunteers. So, who can be a member? If you’re a father, mother, protector, guardian, and/or a person who teaches at Mt. Juliet Elementary, then you are automatically a member of the PTO.

PTO Programs & Fundraising

Our primary objective as a PTO is to provide our school with funds, programs, resources, and services that will enrich and maximize the education of every child and to benefit the school. To meet this important objective, we fundraise. Here are a few programs that we sponsor and/or support: Sprit Nights, Spotlight Awards, Super Bear Awards, Trick or Treat with Spooky Stroll, Valentine Grams, Teacher & Staff Appreciation, Back to School Bash, End of School Bash, Winter Dance, Bear Bucks Positive Reinforcement, 5th Grade Dare Shirts, 5th Grade Appreciation, Kindergarten T-Shirts, K Appreciation, K Registration Folders, K Back to School, Senior Breakfast, Providing AR Reader, Field Day, Bus Driver Appreciation, Meet the Principal and Teacher Nights, Movie Nights, Snack Donation for Kids in Need, Nurse Supplies, Playground Equipment & Maintenance, Blacktop Project, Maintaining 501c3 Nonprofit Status, Spirit Wear, Sound Equipment, Concessions for Events, School Maintenance, School Pressure Washing, Secure Shredding of Documents, Teachers Snack Cart, Annual Projects and various other events throughout the year.

Become a Volunteer….Why YOU should get involved

The PTO is a team effort in which we cannot succeed on our own. We need your help, and so do your children. Here at MJE, we strive for excellence and what better way than to become involved today. We are in need of growth and are seeking volunteers to continue re-establishing the organization. We have planned some exciting events this year in hopes to get more parents involved in their children’s education. Please come and join us!
